"Growing Up Gotti"

Where do I even begin with this topic? First of all let me state that I am a firm hater of "reality" television. I think the majority of reality tv just promotes immoral lifestyles, and teaches that there are no bad results to living these immoral lifesyles. Now that I have said that, let's get down to the topic at hand. "Growing up Gotti." Why is there a reality tv show about the Gotti family. This family should only feel ashamed for who they are, and the last thing they should get is their own tv show. We have truly reached a horrible place in America when we give notorious crime families their own tv shows. What are we going to see next? Maybe a sex offender show, where they all live in a house together and plan out their attacks on poor unsuspecting children? Who can really say. Growing up Gotti shows us that crime does in fact pay. The show stars Victoria Gotti, the daughter of the Gambino crime boss John Gotti, and her three sons. John Gotti Sr. died in prison serving a life sentence with no chance or parole. After the death of John Gotti Sr., John Gotti jr took over the business. Gotti jr was brought to trial on racketeering, gambling, loan sharking, illegal weapons possession, tax evasion, fraud, and murder back in 1998. How does this family history warrant a television show? Why do we feel the need to plaster the four Gotti's in their jewels and mansion all over the tv? Maybe we should be using this time to show video taken of John Gotti Sr. rotting in prison until his death from cancer. Maybe we could better use this time to show the pictures and videos of crime scenes of executions carried out by the Gotti family. This family is a disgrace to humanity, and should all be locked up behind bars, or at the least have their many possesions taken from them. This show, and the Gotti family, make me truly sick.

Still Here

Yes I am still around! It has been far too long since I have posted! I am home right now for lunch, but can't find anything good to eat, so I thought I would spend my lunch break on here. I actually might be getting the afternoon off of work because the computer network is down. This morning I spent four hours spinning in my chair, and playing Jeapordy on my cell phone, but I still got paid for four hours! It has been a busy two months, so that is why I have not posted. The marathon quest is going very well. Myeslf and Mike have been pushing each other to improve, so we are quickly improving up to our 13.4 mile mark. I was watching the news this morning for a moment while eating my bowl of cereal. As usual the headline on the news was; "The Search For Natalie." I quickly changed the channel. Don't take that in the wrong way now. I do think that it is a sad unfortunate thing that happened, but I am so tired of hearing about it every time the news is on. It is unfortunate that this happened to Natalie, but there are many more things going on in the world that need to take precedence over this story. People have to realise that if there is a slim chance she is still alive; they need to go search the surrounding islands that are known for their criminals and slave market. If not there, I would say she is dead and her body was disposed of in the ocean. That is a sad thought, but sooner or later they have to come to this conclusion. Aruba is not America! I am so sick of people getting upset over the way the investigation is running. They don't answer to the American judicial system or system of investigation. Maybe we could better use the time that the search for natalie headlines get for something that is not focused on one girl who happened to be from the US. Thousands of people are being killed, or dying of starvation all around the world. The fact remains that Natalie was over there going to bars with guys she has never met before in a foreign country. In the end we have to realise that she was not wise in her decisions, and as a result of that she unfortunately probably lost her life. Let's stop being so focused on our "American Girl," and begin to look at the things the rest of the world is going through. That's my big opinion for today. I will try to update my blog a little more often in the future. Until we meet again, I hope you all live a focused life, and look to the next glorious day.
